Was thinking about that, and how about making this cloak penetrable with you directional scanner. Just give the AF a bonus to that.

True, however the assaultship is not. The idea of this mechanic is introducing the "cat and mouse" play into big fleetfights, witch usually are pretty static. Assaultships are verry good at this sort of thing.

-1 Incursion are dangerous and competition can be feirce. It requires well fitted ships in a fleet with good members and a seasoned fc. In contrast, lvl 4 missions can be done afk.

The reason I would choose to fly a fighter, instead of a regular ship is that it gives the game a new dimention and the "in space" feeling would be more real. Coordinating attacks would be more than just using a web/scram and blowing up the bigges...

The fighter class ships are not all thet different from the fighter drones. They need bandwith to fly and are not equpped with a warpdrive. When abbandoned you would need to exit in your pod to escape the battlescene.
